Samsung lists E2 as a stuck-button warning. Start with the control panel, rather than treating it as a drain or motor diagnosis.
Check the display and panel first
Copy the complete display before touching the controls. E2, 2E and an alternating two-part message are different records. Keep a safe photo and the full washer model together.
Samsung’s E2 guidance calls for switching the washer off and gently working each panel button across its edges, then releasing it. Use your fingers only. Do not pry off a button, apply liquid to the panel or open the control housing.
What happens when you release the controls?
A button stays depressed or is visibly damaged
Leave the washer off and arrange service. Tell the technician which button is affected. A visible panel problem is useful evidence, but it does not establish which replacement assembly fits.
The controls release and normal operation returns
Record that result. It supports a resolved panel condition, not a claim that the washer has passed an internal electrical test.
The warning returns or the panel has no matching buttons
Use the exact model’s support instructions. Persistent or mismatched behavior needs model-specific assessment, rather than repeated resets.
