Samsung washer Spin Only: which control should you use?

Samsung Spin Only provides extra extraction. Match the control to your model; No Spin and Rinse+Spin are different operations.

Choose extraction, drainage or another rinse

Use Spin Only when you want extra water extraction without repeating a wash. Samsung distinguishes it from No Spin, which drains without extraction, and Rinse+Spin, which adds a rinse. Check the laundry label before selecting more or faster spinning.

Match the Spin Only control to your model

Samsung describes a Spin-button hold of about three seconds on some controls to expose a cycle time, followed by the desired setting and Start. Other models provide a dedicated cycle. That hold is an example for the covered controls, not a universal Samsung shortcut.

Find the complete model and compare its cycle table and control illustration. If the manual shows a different route, use that route. Do not press unrelated combinations, enter service mode or repeatedly reset the machine to obtain an operating cycle.

Observe the result

If the selected operation completes and the load reaches its permitted extraction level, the operating task is complete. If water remains, the machine never starts spinning or a fault returns, record the water state and exact display. Use the no-spin guide or retained-water guide rather than repeatedly requesting Spin Only.

Stop for escaping water or unsafe movement. Selecting a cycle does not diagnose a pump, motor or lock.
