LG Washer Ub, uE or UE: Separate Rebalancing From a Repeated Fault

LG’s Ub/UE references describe a load-balance condition. Keep the washer configuration, exact letter case and the result of the balance routine separate before considering suspension parts.

Is the washer retrying safely?

Stop dangerous walking, contact with nearby objects or strain on hoses. Do not steady a running washer with your hands or reach into a moving drum.

Record the full display, selected cycle, load and model. LG’s top-load guidance describes a lowercase uE retry progressing to uppercase UE after unsuccessful attempts. Do not assume that sequence or its timing applies to every front loader or every Ub display.

Choose the matching configuration and outcome

A top loader is retrying with a particular load

Use the applicable pause and opening instructions before redistributing laundry. Record whether the routine then completes. The documented issue can involve load distribution, leveling or the selected cycle; the display alone does not identify a worn suspension.

A front loader shows UE or Ub

Use the separate front-load reference. LG identifies load distribution, unsuitable load amount and leveling as checks. Record the actual loading and support conditions instead of copying a top-load test load or foot-adjustment direction.

The warning returns under the model’s documented empty check

The checked top-load reference routes a recurring code after its empty Rinse and Spin check to service. Confirm that normal owner test applies to your model. Do not repeat high-speed cycles when movement is unsafe.

What to give the technician

Provide the complete model, exact case-sensitive display, load/cycle, whether the drum was empty during any permitted check and which support conditions were verified. Keep an unchecked floor or leveling condition explicit.

Any suspension, control or sensor recommendation still needs a model-specific finding and exact part match. A quieter cycle after redistributing a load does not prove an internal part was repaired.
